Even though it was -2 degrees this morning and it's cold all day, I still feel like things are warming up in the teaching department. I have now met all of my students and been through each of my classes one time. At this point I am still really optimistic at how this group of students will do. I was able to fill each class period with a variety of activities to do through out the eighty minute block period. Going from bell to bell is a key issue that can make the class enjoyable for the students and more enjoyable for me as a teacher. When kids are having to stay up on things and know that they will have to use each class period to the fullest they are more likely to turn in better work and less likely to cause management problems.
I'm getting ready to launch my podcast this weekend. I'm excited and hope that it works out like I want it to.

Reading your blog and pondering on my own experiences of this past week is very motivating to get me writing more on my own blog at The Technology Student Teacher.
I'm looking forward to listening to your podcast. It will be great to have someone doing this with me. I hope we do create a meaningful community. Check out an interesting podcast at The Podcast Academy. The most recent podcast is very useful for new podcasters. It's all about planning your podcast.
Keep up the great work, and we'll see you at school.
